Tuesday, August 18th:

9:00 AM FUNPLUS-H2-25 miles-SE Six Trails Ride Meet Robert Drucker (303-475-4964) at the Lone Tree Art Center, 10075 Commons Street, Lone Tree 80124. Nice relatively level terrain on sections of the Willow Creek, Little Dry Creek, Centennial Link, Highline Canal, Lee Gulch and C-470 trails. Approximately 7 miles on gravel similar to and including the Highline Canal. We will take water breaks and a rest stop at the Goodson Center. Average 11-15 MPH. Six Trails – Modified – Ride with GPS.

NEW RIDE

9:00 AM INT H3 SW- 29 miles, 2800 feet of gain.  Meet Diane Short at the far SW end of the WalMart parking lot closest to the bike path. Ride through Ken Caryl, up and over Deer Creek, slight southwest on Turkey Creek to Flint neighborhoods loop and return.  Leader is NOT on Meet Up.  Please call 303-271-9642 (land line) so leader has contact data in case of weather changes.  WM2FlintLoop 


Wednesday, August 19th:

9:00 AM FUN-H2/3-24-1800’ elev. gain “Georgetown Ice Cream Ride” Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) for this Idaho Springs-to-Georgetown ride. We will ride through Idaho Springs and follow the service road up to Georgetown. Bring $ to purchase and enjoy your ice cream treat. Return the same route. CASUAL pace to and ZIPPITY-DO-DAH from Georgetown (mostly downhill). DIRECTIONS: I-70 Exit 241. Take first RIGHT at the exit roundabout and follow the road up & over I-70. Just past the green sign, turn RIGHT towards County Road 314 (if you miss this turn, you’re back on eastbound I-70!). Turn RIGHT at the stop sign & continue to the ballpark ahead and park on the north side of the park.


Thursday, August 20th:

9:00 AM -12:00 PM FUN PLUS-H2/3- 27 miles-SE, 1,600’ elevation gain Meet Bill Monroe 630-386-7935 at The Pinery Trailhead, 6662 N Pinery Pkwy, Parker, CO 80134 (It’s a dead end road but it is the right road. Go to the end) . This is a beautiful ride is all on paved trails from Parker to Castle Rock and back. We will ride the Cherry Creek Trail, McMurdo Gulch Trail, Woodlands Trail, Hangman’s Gulch Trail and Plum Creek Trail. There are a few road crossings but no road riding. The McMurdo Gulch trail to Founders Parkway is challenging (6 miles, 2% average grade which includes a couple of very short 4+% climbs) as will be the return from Castle Rock to Founders Parkway. We will have several water breaks/ rest stops as needed. Turn around will be at the Festival Park in downtown Castle Rock. The last 9 miles of the ride are all downhill and it’s a blast. https://ridewithgps.com/trips/366311230
