Tuesday, June 2nd

8:00 AM FUN-H2-28-NW-900’ elev gain. Depart 8:00am Meet Marilyn Choske (303-905-8510), at Anderson Park in Wheat Ridge, 44th & Field St., first parking lot on left. Ride this NW Denver urban adventure LOOP ride. We’ll head south, east, north, and west, back to our start. Trails are Weir, Sanderson, Platte, Clear Creek, and some light road riding, most with bike lanes. Starbucks stop at the Confluence for snacks & break. Limit 6 riders, including leader. 10:30 AM FUN PLUS around 18 miles SW Meet Suzanne Carter (equinelites@aol.com) just northeast of the Pedal Bike Shop in Littleton (2640 W Belleview Ave #100.) We will ride for about 18 miles on the Bear Creek Trail. Meet near the river side of the parking lot. We will ride along bike paths and have a beer or whatever at the Pint Room at the end of the ride or maybe even at Fox Hollow Golf Course before we turn around.(2620 W Belleview Ave, Littleton, CO 80123 ) following the ride.

10:30 AM, MTB, P2-3, T2-3, Easy Cooler Lunch Ride - Elk Meadow. The Easy Cooler Tuesday Lunch Rides are organized by Liz Cameron (bizliz8888@gmail.com 303-619-7897). Today’s ride is at Elk Meadow near Bergen Park. Meet in the Buchanan Recreation Center parking lot. THE DIRECTIONS: Located at intersection of Colo Hwy 74 (Evergreen Parkway) and Squaw Pass (Colo Hwy 103). From I-70: Take exit 252 for Evergreen Parkway. Continue for roughly 3 miles to the intersection of 74 and 103. Turn left at traffic light; Buchanan Park rec center and Tuscany Tavern are located in this complex adjacent to the softball fields. From downtown Evergreen, follow Hwy 74 up to the intersection of 74 and 103. Or load directions to 32003 Ellingwood Trail, Evergreen 80439. Wednesday, June 3rd

9:00 AM FUN-H3-22-NW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Prospect Park (44th & Robb St) for a ride west along the Clear Creek Trail to Easley Rd to the Arvada Reservoir. We will ride a loop over the reservoir and back to the start via the same route. Text to let me know you are coming.


Thursday, June 4th

9:00 a.m., FUN-H1/H2-23-E/NE – COOK PARK LOOPMeet Helen Berkman (720-355-5687) outside Rosenberg’s Deli at Stanley Marketplace, 2501 Dallas St., Aurora. We’ll ride a loop on the Westerly Park Greenway south, east to Del Mar Pkwy and the Highline Canal, around Cook Park and back up to the Highline through Fairmont Cemetery and Lowry, returning to the start via the Greenway. Register via text to leader by 8:00 am. Group size limited to 8 riders.


Friday June 5th

8:00 AM INT-H3-26-SW Meet Mary Stewart (303-250-3031) at Stone House parking lot (2900 S. Estes St, Lakewood, southeast of Garrison and Morrison Road) Arrive early as we leave at 8 for Roller ride with 4-6% grade climbing, 1600’. Ride thru Bear Creek and lower Red Rocks. Group size 7 riders including leader. Please RSVP by texting ride leader by Thursday, June 4.

9:30 AM LEISURE RIDE H1/H2-20 SE Cherry Creek Trail and Piney Creek Trail. Meet Jill McMahon (303 888-0314 cell) at the Arapahoe Rd Trailhead for the Cherry Creek Trail (just past Jordan Road on the south side of the street.) We will ride north into Cherry Creek Park and turn east on the Piney Creek Trail. We will ride to a point just past E 470 and turn around for a total of about 20 miles. If you want after the ride, bring a lunch and we can “social distance socialize” at the large shelter at the trailhead. Please read the General Ride Guidelines in the DBTC May newsletter on page 11 for the new Covid19 club rules. If we have more than 8 people show up, we will have to limit the group to 8 people or split into more than one group.

This exciting ride full of twists and turns uses portions of the new Hwy. 36 Trail to take us on a loop that includes the hidden gems of Flatirons Mall, Interlocken, Standley Lake, and Rock Creek Village! We will meet at the Rock Creek Village Safeway, which is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Rd., Superior). The ride is mostly on paved trails, but there are a couple of short segments of lightly-graveled well-kept, unpaved trails.

Wednesday, June 10th


9:00 AM Fun-H1-20-25 SW, Meet Patsy Venema (cell phone and text 720.934.3498) at the east end of the Fox Hollow Golf Course parking lot, 13410 W Morrison Road, Lakewood 80228. Ride east along shady and cool Bear Creek to and along a bit of the Platte River trail. If the Den Restaurant is open, maybe lunch afterwards.


Thursday, June 11th Evening


5:45 PM FUN–H2–16-Downtown Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for this Free Beverage Summer Sunset Ride. We will meet at the City of Cuernavaca Park downtown (Exit at 20th Ave going east away from the mountains. Turn right over the bridge onto Little Raven, then turn right onto 19th Street, then right onto Platte River which becomes Rockmont Drive, and go until you dead end into the parking lot) for this fantastic ride down the Cherry Creek Bike Path to the 4 Mile Historic House and back. A beverage of your choice will be provided to all riders at the socially distancing break on the return voyage at the REI Starbucks where we will watch the sun start to set before we head back to the cars.


Saturday, June 13th

8:30a.m. FUN-H1-23-NE – SIX PARKS LOOP:  Meet Helen Berkman [masked]) at Stanley Marketplace, 2501 Dallas St., Aurora. We’ll ride a city loop through six Denver Parks, starting via the Greenway to Central Park, then circumnavigating east Denver through City Park, Cheesman Park, Washington Park, Crestmoor Park, and Great Lawn Park. Free old-fashioned root beer or cream soda at the end! Reserve a spot via text to leader. Group size limited to 8 riders


Sunday, June 14th

8:30 AM FUN-H1-20 - 25 SE. Meet Cyndy Klepinger at the Cook Rec Center parking lot at Cherry Street (between Monaco and Quebec). (303) 725-1565 or matilda8@msn.com.  (Access to parking lot may be closed, but on-street parking available.)  We will ride to and thru some of the parks of Denver, including Wash Park and City Park.  Route is on roads with bike lanes and sharrows.  This is a no-drop ride. 9:00 FUN-H2-20-NW 9:00 AM MAJESTIC FLAG DAY RIDE. Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) at the Majestic View Park north parking lot (north on Wadsworth to W 72nd Ave, west on 72nd, just west of Carr on the south side. THIS IS NOT THE ENTRANCE at GARRISON ST. or 71st ST!) The theme of this ride is our own great United States flag so one will be provided to all participants! The ride will go west on Ridge Road and Van Bibber Creek Trail, north on the new Blunn Trail and then return on the Ralston Creek Trail. GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!

THE DIRECTIONS: Go to the signalized “T” intersection in downtown Evergreen, then south on Hwy 73 for 1⁄2 mile to another signal at Buffalo Park Road. Turn right (west) for 2.2 miles and enter the upper Alderfer parking lot just beyond the bright yellow house in the meadow. THE FOOD: Keys on the Green (restaurant in the Evergreen Golf Course clubhouse). Be prepared to bring a chair and food for a post ride picnic in the parking lot if the restaurant is not open.


Wednesday, June 17th

9:00 AM FUN-H2/H3-25 SW Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) behind the McDonald’s at Sheridan and Hampden. We’ll head to the Tech Center on various trails. We have to climb some hills and there are sections on the Highline Canal (pea gravel), and then we’ll have our morning latte and loop back to Bear Valley. It is a beautiful ride and we get have a wonderful downhill back to Bear Valley. DBTC usually buys lattes at the library, but since it is closed, let's have our DBTC drinks on the patio at Panera's.


Thursday, June 18th Evening

6:00 PM INT-H3-20-NW - Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) THE HIDDEN GEMS OF LOUISVILLE EVENING ADVENTURE!!! This exciting ride full of twists and turns uses the newest portion of the HWY 36 trail that goes west from Interlocken into Boulder then loops back through Louisville and Superior using some interesting secret trails including the Double Lombard Street Experience and the famous Black Hole of Louisville! See you at the Safeway at the Rock Creek village Shopping Center in Superior for this somewhat new tour of the trails of Superior, Louisville, and South Boulder (with a few roads mixed in as required). Rock Creek village is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Road Superior, CO. 80027.)


Friday, June 19th

9:00 AM Leisure-H1/H2 19-SW. Meet Jill McMahon (303 888-0314 cell) at Reynolds Landing for a ride south and west through Littleton on paved trails and quiet streets. (Go west on Brewery Lane at Santa Fe Drive where there is a light. Continue past the Breckenridge Brewery to the big parking lot at the end of the road on the right.) We will ride on the Platte Trail, through Columbine Valley, Clement Park, the Lilley Gulch Trail and the Dutch Creek Trail. This is a loop ride with an optional lunch afterwards at the large shelter at the trailhead (bring your own or get takeout.) This ride will be limited to 8 people and if we have more than that, we will have to split into more than one group. Text or call if you need more information.

9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H3-21 NW– HIDDEN GEMS OF GOLDEN SUMMER SOLSTICE RIDE!!! Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for this fairly new Hidden Gems adventure around beautiful Golden as we celebrate the longest day of the year (Yes, this year it is on June 20th, not June 21st.) We will meet at Lions Park at 10th and Maple in Golden and ride the Golden Circle and beyond to Heritage Park and other unexplored areas. This ride has been improved each time that I lead it so I can now promise you a rose garden!!!!


Tuesday, June 23rd

7:00 AM INT-H3+-31-W-2533' elev gain. Meet 7:00am; DEPART 7:15am. Prospect Park/Lookout Mountain Loop.  Join Marilyn Choske (303-905-8510), at Prospect Park, 44th & Robb St., Wheat Ridge, back parking lot near bikepath.  From Prospect Park in Wheat Ridge, ride Clear Creek Trail to Golden, climb and go over Lookout Mountain onto Hwy 40. East to Heritage Square and pick up Kinney Run Trail to Hwy 6 trail. Pedal thru School of Mines campus to Clear Creek Trail and return. **Limit 6 riders, including leader.**  Recommend face covering and social-distance bicycling.  REGISTER BY TEXT to leader by Monday, June 22. 10:30 AM, MTB, Easy Cooler Lunch Ride – Magnolia West.  The Easy Cooler Tuesday Lunch Rides are organized by Liz Cameron (bizliz8888@gmail.com 303-619-7897).   These are Show’nGo Rides:  The folks who show up decide what to ride.   A ride is scheduled every Tuesday thru the summer.  Look at Meetup.com under the DBTC group for location and time.  Today’s ride is at Magnolia West, south of Nederland on the Peak to Peak Highway.   The Magnolia trail system is mostly on US Forest Service land.  Mag West is a maze of short trails so check out the trail system before the ride.  MTB Project (https://www.mtbproject.com/trail/2214487/west-magnolia-tour ) is one option.   DIRECTIONS: Take Clear Creek Canyon, Golden Gate Canyon (Hwy 46) or Coal Creek Canyon (Hwy 72) to Peak to Peak Hwy 119. Go North on 119 to .9 mile past Mile Mark 23. The trailhead is on the west side of 119 at Magnolia Road. Wednesday, June 24th

9:00 AM FUN-H2/H3 +/- 20 SW Meet Susie Frakes (303 910-8206) behind the 7 -11 store on the South East corner of Garrison and Ken Caryle Ave. There is a big parking lot just to the south of the 7-11 Store. We’ll head West on Ken Caryle, go through some neighborhoods then through the Ken Caryle Valley to Deer Creek Canyon Rd., cross Wadsworth and go into Chatfield Reservoir part way up the dam and then catch the C-470 trail to the west, through more neighborhoods, another section of C-470 trail, more neighborhoods and then back to Susie's house for a picnic lunch under the big shady maple in her back yard.  Bring some food to eat for lunch or purchase a sandwich at the 7-11.


Thursday, June 25rd Evening

5:45 PM FUN–H2–22 - Downtown Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for this Incredible FREE DRINK Summer Adventure! The meeting place has been changed to the front of the REI Starbucks. (We normally can park for free at the City of Cuernavaca Park downtown (23rd Ave Exit from I25, go down the hill, drive by the REI Superstore going NE, cross 15th St and keep going till you see the parking lot directly in front of you) HOWEVER the parking lot may still be closed so the official meeting place has been changed to the REI Starbucks. This is a fantastic ride down the Platte River Bike Path towards the infamous Hudson Gardens and back. A beverage of your choice will be provided to all riders at the socially distancing break on the return voyage at the REI Starbucks where we will watch the sun start to set before we head back to the cars.


Friday, June 26th

9:00 AM LEISURE SE about 20 miles. Meet Dave Noble (303-694-2008 or 303-906-3163 cell on ride day) at McCabe Meadows parking lot (about a mile south of Parker) where there's water and a bathroom.  We'll ride as far south on the Cherry Creek trail as the group would like and then return.  Bring a lunch and a folding chair so we can sit under the shady trees.


Saturday, June 27th

8:00 a.m., FUNPLUS-H3-25+ SW – Meet Carol Bennett (720-425-6124) in Highlands Ranch: Take the Exit off of C470 at the Lucent off-ramp and drive about 1/2 mile south and enter the Target parking lot at 1265 Sergeant Jon Stiles Drive, and follow the entrance to the southwest corner of the Target parking lot, just north of the Kaiser Building. This Meeting area is at the northeast corner of Highlands Ranch Parkway and Lucent Blvd. We will ride the streets and green belts in Highlands Ranch and will back-track to the west part of Highlands Ranch and make our way to the north and will continue to the extreme east portion of Highlands Ranch. The route is general at this time, and I can add or delete portions of the ride by request of the group. This is a no-drop ride. Bring some snacks and plenty of water. There are bathroom stops in most of the parks. . Keep the shiny side up! 


Sunday, June 28th (THIS RIDE WAS MOVED TO SUNDAY FROM SATURDAY)

9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2-23-NW Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE HIDDEN GEMS OF ARVADA. We have all experienced the traditional Arvada classic trails of Ralston Creek, Clear Creek, and Van Bibber. Check out this new route instead that explores Lake Arbor, Pomona Lake, the Arvada Fire Fighter’s Park and other forgotten areas and is guaranteed to be an adventure! Meet at the SE corner of HWY 36 and 104th at the back side of the now closed Black Bear Diner, formally Quaker State and Lube Restaurant (10392 Reed St., Westminster, CO) by a hidden entrance to a hidden trail where the adventure will begin (and end).


Tuesday, June 30th

8:00 AM FUN-H2-28-NW-1100' elev gain.  Depart 8:00am  Arvada Arrowhead!  Join Marilyn Choske (303-905-8510), at Anderson Park in Wheat Ridge, 44th & Field St., first parking lot on the left closest to 44th Ave.  Ride an arrowhead-shaped loop around Arvada on bike paths and bike-friendly roads with an optional Starbucks stop along the way.  Pace 10-14mph.  **Limit 6 riders, including leader.** REGISTER BY TEXT to leader by Monday, June 29. Today’s ride is at Staunton State Park south of Conifer. There are many trails from P2, T2 all the way to P3.5, T3.5. DIRECTIONS: Take US Highway 285 south to Shaffers Crossing, about 6 miles west of Conifer. The actual off ramp sign from Hwy 285 says, “Shaffers Crossing/ Elk Creek Road. It’s 30 minutes from the intersection of Hwy 285 and Kipling to the parking lot. Turn north on Elk Creek Road and follow the signs 1.5 miles to the park entrance. A couple of hundred feet past the park fee station ($9 per vehicle), make a sharp right and go down to the smaller parking lot. FOOD: Bring snacks and a chair for a parking lot picnic. There is even a picnic table.


Wednesday, July 1st
