March 2023 DBTC Ride Schedule 


Wednesday, March 1st:

CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER

12:00 FUN PLUS H-2-20 SW Meet Peter Woulfe (540-219-6674) at the west end of the parking lot for the Broken Tee Golf Course (2101 W. Oxford, Englewood 80110). We will ride the South Platte to Chatfield State Park, and up the dam. We will ride the paved part of the dam, then return via C-470 and the South Platte Trail. 


Sunday, March 5th:

11 AM FUN -H2-25 +-NE Meet Cyndy Klepinger (303.725.1565) at Cake Crumbs (2216 Kearney St. in Park Hill) for a loop through Stapleton & Northfield to the Rocky Mtn. Arsenal Wildlife Refuge. We will ride through the refuge as bikes are now allowed on some of the roads.

Mileage may vary due to the wind.

Check out the exhibits (incl. the Black Footed Ferret), gift shop and/or restrooms before heading back on neighborhood streets and a bridge with a view of Sand Creek. Upon our return to Cake Crumbs, we can enjoy pastries and/or sandwiches, if so desired.

Saturday,  March  11th:

12:00 PM FUN PLUS/INT - H1 26 Miles N. Meet Peter Woulfe (540-219-6674) at Twin Lakes Park, 300 West 70th (just west of Broadway). Ride east along Clear Creek and then north along the South Platte River to Riverdale Park (Adams County FairGrounds). Then return the same way.


Wednesday,  March  29th 

11:00AM FUN PLUS/INT-H2-23-SW Meet Peter Woulfe (540-219-6674) cell at Reynolds Landing parking lot (6745 S. Santa Fe Dr). We will ride the South Platte to Chatfield State Park, then up the dam over to the marina. After a break we will return the same way.


12PM MTB P2, T1 SW Different Parking Spot:  East end of Fox Hollow Golf Course.  From Kipling Parkway and Morrison Rd. in Lakewood, go east about half a mile and you'll see the sign for the golf course.

Ride:  Pretty much all the trails P2, T1.

Time:  12 noon (arrive) Wednesday (tomorrow)

Bike Type:  manual and ebikes.  I'll lead with my manual bike.  Geez though, I hate manual bikes including mine!

Food:  Moe's BBQ afterward

Weather:  52, calm winds

Friday,  March  31st (changed from Friday, March 17th due to weather):

10:00 am FUN -H1-12-SW Tour de Lakewood. Meet Janet Martel (303-929-5950) at Stone House Park on Estes and Yale. Distance 12 miles (tea or coffee stop at Village Roasters, Alameda and Garrison.) Ride quiet neighborhoods in Lakewood North of Stone House Park. Some bike lanes on Garrison.
