Monday, August 1st:
9:00 AM FUN-H1-25-SW Meet Wayne Tomasello (720-854-8767) at River Point Shopping area off Santa Fe and Oxford near the Chili's restaurant ( 3860 River Point Pkwy, Sheridan, CO 80110). The ride will be going South on the South Platte trail to Chatfield reservoir and back. An optional lunch is at Chili's restaurant.
9:00AM FUN/FUN Plus-H1-19-SW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at the Stone House (Estes & Yale along the Bear Creek Trail). We will ride east on the Bear Creek Trail to the South Platte Trail taking it south to Nixon’s Coffee for a break. We will return via the same route. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterwards.
Tuesday, August 2nd:
Beat the Heat & MEET 07:00 AM--INT-H3-37-SW-+1862’ elev. “Ken Caryl/Valley/Chatfield/Columbine Loop” Register via TEXT to the leader by August 1. Join Marilyn Choske (303-905-8510) at Green Gables Park, enter from the east side of Garrison, located between Wisconsin & Florida, for this ambitious leg-burner, heart-pumping LOOP ride. Pedal south and west thru Bear Creek Park to C470 south. Ride on Ken Caryl to Valley Road and on to Chatfield. Maneuver to Lowell north. Bring $ and reward your efforts with a cool beverage and maybe a treat at the Mineral Ave Dunkin'. Continue north to Bear Creek Trail and ride NW to Garrison and our start. 7:45 AM FUN PLUS/INT H3-28-SE 1500ft elevation gain Meet Bill Luttrell at Willow Creek Park (8000 E Phillips Cir. Centennial, Co) and register by August 2 via TEXT with leader Bill Luttrell 719 235-3868, limit 8 people. This is a long scenic 28 mile loop ride and a hybrid or gravel bike is recommended due to loose gravel and steep uphill/downhills on East West Trail. We will take Willow Creek Trail to Crooked Stick Trail, to East-West Trail, to Cherry Creek Trail, to 470 trail and back on Willow Creek Trail. The ride has scenic country and mountain views and possible wildlife sightings. Water refill and snack stop about halfway on Cherry Creek Trail.
8:30 AM LeisureH1-17-SW. LEE GULCH LOOP Meet Karen Kelley 303 260-9029 at the Aspen Grove Shopping Center parking lot in the very southeast corner (south of the Alamo Drafthouse which is 7301 S Santa Fe Dr Unit #850, Littleton.) This is a loop ride on the Platte River Trail, the Big Dry Creek Trail, the Highline Trail and the Lee Gulch Trail. It winds around some creeks and wooded areas - mostly on paved trails but some gravel and a short distance on residential streets. There will be an optional lunch afterwards at a local restaurant. Bring a snack, and money for lunch if you plan to join us.
10:00 AM, MTB P2,T2, Easy Cooler Lunch Ride - Alderfers/Three Sisters Park. West parking lot. These are Show’nGo Rides: Hosted by Liz Cameron, but there is no official leader. The folks who show up decide which trails to ride. THE DIRECTIONS: Go to the signalized “T” intersection in downtown Evergreen, then south on Hwy 73 for ½ mile to another signal at Buffalo Park Road. Turn right (west) for 2.2 miles and enter the upper Alderfer parking lot just beyond the bright yellow house in the meadow. POSTRIDE: Bring a chair and food for a post ride picnic in the parking lot. PS - later this summer, there may be maintenance at this parking lot, however Liz called Jeffco , and they indicated the west parking lot ( yellow house) is open.
Wednesday, August 3rd:
7:30 AM FUN PLUS- H3 (elev 1150’)22-SE Meet Ruby Fredrick at 7:30 am, roll by 7:45 am, on the SE side of King Soopers Marketplace between King Soopers & 3 Margaritas restaurant (25701 E. Smoky Hill Rd. Aurora, CO 80016). We will take Powhaton Rd and go around Aurora Reservoir, then take Powhaton Rd/Harvest Rd to Harvest trail, then on to High Plains Trail/HPT from Quincy to Smoky Hill Rd and across, to Red Tailed Hawk Park and Irish Dr/Sampson Gulch to Powhaton Rd, Holy Hill back to our starting point. We will regroup at the top of each climb. Bring $$ for lunch at Dion’s Pizza (pizza, sandwiches or salads, etc. )after the ride. Bring a lock for your bike.
8:30 AM FUN/FUN PLUS-H2to3-20 SW Clarkson Roller Coaster Meet Patty Gaspar 303-618-5069 at Broken Tee Golf Course 2101 W Oxford Ave, Englewood to ride the Platte River Trail to Chatfield, then east on C-470 Trail for a mostly gentle climb (one very steep climb) then across on Clarkson with fun rollers followed by a great downhill to Big Dry Creek to finish the loop. Bring a picnic lunch for after.
Friday, August 5th:
9:00 AM FUN Plus H1 -32- NE WELCOME NEW RIDE LEADER Fred Tarbell (620-888-5290) at Rotella Park, 1824 Coronado Pkwy N. Denver. For a ride North on the Platte River trail. Meet at the far East end of Rotella Park near the shelter. Restroom at park and at mid ride. Bring money for possible refreshments at the plaza in Brighton. Bring snacks or a lunch if you want to socialize at the park after the ride.
8:00 AM LEISURE H2-20-NW Louisville to Lafayette and back for some ice cream! Meet Marcy Rodney (phone 720-985-3403, no voicemail, text fine) at her house, RSVP for address, club members only. Two mountain overlooks, three lakes, paved trails, gravel trails, some roads, and yes, a hill. 9:00 AM FUN-H2-21-NW MAJESTIC 17 PARKS NEW BREWPUB RIDE Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) at the Majestic view Park North parking lot (north on Wadsworth to W 72nd Ave, west on 72nd, just west of Carr on the south side. THIS IS NOT THE ENTRANCE at GARRISON ST. or 71st ST!) The ride will visit 17 parks by going west on Ridge Road and van Bibber Creek Trail, north on the new Blunn Trail and then returning on the Ralston Creek Trail where we will stop for a break at the new COLORADO TAP HOUSE which resides on the trail!

7:45 am- FUN PLUS/INT-H3(elev 2,105’)-47-SE Let’s connect Aurora Reservoir and Cherry Creek Reservoir with Wes & Ruby (303-522-3573). Meet at 7:30 am, roll by 7:45 am at East Arapahoe Road trailhead (on E. Arapahoe Rd. Between S. Jordan Rd. and S. Parker Rd). We will take the Cherry Creek trail south to E. Broncos Pkwy; climb east through scenic Foxfield neighborhood /E. Jamison Ave/E. Long Ave/HPT to Red Tailed Hawk Park; up E. Irish Dr./Sampson Gulch to Powhaton Rd to Aurora Reservoir. We will regroup after each climb. We will descend via the Piney Creek trail back to our starting point.Bring plenty of water and snacks and a sack lunch for a picnic after the ride!
8:30 AM FUN-H1-20-SE Meet Ellen Fitzpatrick (720-209-2269) at Arapahoe Trailhead (15200 East Arapaho Road, Centennial), on the south side of Arapahoe Rd, just east of Jordan Road). We will ride the South Cherry Creek trail into Parker, and stay about a half hour or so at their weekly Farmer’s Market on Main Street. There’s probably fresh peaches, ice cream and coffee close by! Bring your bike lock and lite bag to bring home a few goodies. We will return the same way.

8:30 AM LEISURE H1-15-SW. BIKING SW SUBURBS: TRAILS AND QUIET STREETS. Meet Dave Noble (home 303-694-2008, cell: 303-906-3163) at the Clement Park picnic shelters area for a loop ride on the Dutch Creek trail, Columbine, Bow Mar, and Grant Ranch neighborhoods.. Lunch at a restaurant to be determined. (Directions to Clement Park picnic shelters: Drive towards the Columbine Library and up the hill a short ways.)
10:15 AM MTB P2 T2 WEST Will be taking Roxy dog there, going up the Buffalo Creek Road to Morrison Creek, up that to the Shinglemill Trail intersection, down the fun lower Shinglemill and Buff Creek to finish with the Sandy Wash swoop. This is little over 10 miles with around 1000' of total climbing. Takes about an hour and a half.
A short ride but fun for a dog. Will start about 10:15 AM from that main Buff Creek lot, see map pin. This is the mountain bike lot. Perhaps donate a couple dollars or so and get a locally made treat at the shelter. Bring your own cold drink. And maybe a lunch snack.
Doggone good Fun ride. These are pretty easy trails. Folks can ride further if they wish.
Wednesday, August 10th:
8:30 AM Fun Plus - H3 – 27 miles – W. Tom’s 1st August Ice Cream Ride Meet Tom Fitzgerald (303-424-1082) at Anderson Park (44th & Field). We’ll ride west on the Clear Creek Trail, and circumnavigate around North Table Mountain, via Easley Road, 60th/58th Avenue, Hwy 93 (for 2 blocks), and some quiet paved roads west of Hwy 93. We’ll stop for a water/restroom break at Norman D Park (near the top of Tucker Gulch). We’ll then head south back to the Clear Creek Trail in Golden via paved bike paths for a stop at the Golden Creamery (bring $$ for ice cream and/or chocolate). After ice cream, we’ll return to Anderson Park via the Clear Creek Trail. Bring lunch for a picnic afterward.
Friday, August 12th:
7:30 AM INT-H4-21-W 2100ft elevation gain Meet Bill Luttrell at Rooney Road Trailhead near 470 and Alameda at 7:30am. Register via TEXT at 719 235-3868 , by August 11, limit 8 riders. We will ride Rooney Road to US 6 trail, climb Lookout Mountain, down US 40 to Heritage road, go over Dinosaur Ridge and back to the parking lot. We will stop at Windy Ridge and top. Restrooms available at trailhead, Windy Ridge and top.. This should not be your first climb of Lookout Mountain and we will have a pace of 6-8mph for climbing. If the group feels strong we can do more climbing up to Red Rocks Trading Post. Great elevation training ride.

9:00AM Fun plus 24m NE Sand Creek and Northfield Loop Meet Fred Tarbell (630-888-5290) at Twin Lakes Park. 226-318 70th Ave, (just west of 53 and 224 intersection) Ride East on Clear Creek to the South Platte bike way, then South toward Denver to the Sand Creek trail junction. We will ride the Sand Creek to connect with the Sand Creek Greenway. Then some loops in open area parks near residential areas before returning to Sand Creek. Bring money for a break at Starbucks.
Saturday, August 13th:
8:30AM LEISURE-H1/2-22-NE BOOKS AND BIKES ADVENTURE. All you bookies out there, meet Helen Berkman (text 720-355-5687) at Cake Crumbs, 2216 Kearney St, for a repeat of this popular city adventure ride to BookBar, this year as a leisure ride. All-new route, with a new greenway! an elevator ride! mountain views! and a bookshop! Our destination is the BookBar in Highlands, a charming bookstore with a garden you need to see if you’ve never been there. We’ll loop back via Sloan’s Lake, Mile High Stadium (past the pre-season preparations), and City Park. This will be a no-drop leisure ride, and we’ll spend up to a half-hour in BookBar or its neighborhood. Bring a pannier or pack if you want to buy a book!
Sunday, August 14th:
7:30 AM Fun Plus / Int – H4 -28 miles (2350’) – W. Hill Climber’s Delight Meet Tom Fitzgerald (303-424-1082) at the Clear Creek Trailhead parking lot near the Coors grain elevator. Take the McIntyre Street exit off Hwy 58 (Golden Freeway) (https://www.google.com/maps/@39.7719732,-105.1753148,17z). The parking lot is south of Hwy 58, and east of McIntyre Street. We’ll pedal west to Golden via the Clear Creek trail, cross Golden through the School of Mines campus to 19th Street, then climb Lookout Mountain. We’ll then pedal Lookout Mountain Road to Hwy 40 (parallel to I-70), and climb up to Genesee for a break at the Genesee Country Store and Candy Land (bring $$). After a break, we’ll start our descent via the Mount Vernon Country Club Road, back to Lookout Mountain Road, where we’ll continue down Lookout Mountain, through Golden, and return to our starting point via the Clear Creek Trail.
Monday August 15th:

Meet 07:00 AM, Roll 07:15 AM. INT-H4-43-2800’ elev. gain. “LOOP the LAKE & PEDAL the PASS with Ice Cream!” Register only via TEXT to leader by Sunday, August 14. Meet Marilyn Choske (303-905-8510) at the Ten Mile Creek TH parking lot (NW corner of I-70 & W Main St, Frisco). I-70 Exit 201, Frisco Main St. Restrooms available. The first part of this adventure is a counter-clockwise Lake Dillon loop. From TH, ride south on the bike path towards Breckenridge, cross Hwy 9 at Swan Mtn Road and climb via bike lane to summit. Continue on Swan Mountain’s east side on a bike path with a brief rest stop at the marina. Pedal to Frisco and wind our way through quiet neighborhoods to return. Five-minute stop at trailhead to refuel, replenish water, restroom. Ride at your own pace up to Copper Mountain gas station for a break and a re-group, then thru the resort to the *fun* part of the climb to Vail Pass! After a rest and photo op at the top, return downhill to Frisco for your reward--a FREE ice cream at Foote’s Rest, compliments of your DBTC! Limit 10 riders, including leader. Ride will not go if it is rainy or forecast for morning rain, and the leader can abort the last half of the ride if weather is threatening. 8:30 AM FUN H1-21 SE Explore South High to Central Park (Not in NYC) Meet Patty Gaspar(303-618-5069) in the parking lot of South High School, corner of Louisiana and S. Franklin, near the SE corner of Washington Park, you may have to park on the street. The ride will include Westerly Creek, Central Park, City Park, and Cheesman Park. Let’s hope the leader doesn’t get lost again! If school has started you will need to park on the street or in the park.
9:00 AM LEISURE H1-9-SE. AURORA RESERVOIR LOOP. Meet Suzanne Gruba (303-946-8996 cell) at the Aurora Reservoir swim beach parking lot for a ride around the reservoir. There is a $10 fee to get into the park. Bring your bathing suit if you care to swim and a picnic lunch.

NEW RIDE
7:30am INT/Advanced - H4-27-SW 2800 ft elevation gain Meet Bill Luttrell at 7:30am at W Deer Canyon and Wadsworth, Park along W Deer Creek Canyon just off Wadsworth. We will ride up Deer Creek Canyon to South Deer Creek Road to High Grade road to Pleasent Park Road up to the school house. At the top there is a nice rest area with bathroom , picnic tables, cookies, gatorade and water. This is a serious, pretty canyon/ forest constant climb about twice as long as Lookout Mountain. If we have strong group we can go back via City Lights route which adds 6 miles and more climbing. Register via TEXT at 719 235-3868 , by August 18, limit 8
Saturday, August 20th:
8:30 AM Fun Plus – H2 – 28 miles – W. Tom’s 2nd August Ice Cream Ride Meet Tom Fitzgerald (303-424-1082) at Anderson Park (44th & Field) for a ride east on the Clear Creek Trail to the Platte River Trail. Then south to REI for water / restroom break. Then we’ll pedal across a nearby pedestrian bridge over I-25 for a stop at Littleman Ice Cream (bring $$). From there, we’ll proceed back to the Clear Creek Trail through some quiet streets in NW Denver, and back to Anderson Park. Bring lunch for a picnic afterward.
Sunday, August 21st:
8:30 AM FUN PLUS-H2-28-SE Meet Ellen Fitzpatrick (720-209-2269) at the Broken Tee Golf course (2101 W. Oxford street, Englewood, which is just west of Santa Fe Dr.). Park far west end of parking lot, up against the bike path and Platte River, and meet there at the pavilion and bathroom area. We will ride out to and around Chatfield State Park via bike paths along the Platte, up to top of dam, and continue across the dam clockwise toward the marina and back around. There’s a mile+ stretch of dirt/gravel road on the dam to negotiate which can be done on a road bike. Planning a 12-13 mph average pace. About 550’ elevation. Bring water,snacks and lunch and we’ll gather after for social time.
Monday, August 22nd:
9:00 AM FUN/FUN PLUS-H2-30-SW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at the Stone House (Estes & Yale along the Bear Creek Trail). Join Marilyn Choske (303-905-8510) and *NEW* leader, Lauren Delle, at Anderson Park, W. 44th Ave & Field St, Wheat Ridge; park in back parking lot on the right. Enjoy Clear Creek, Van Bibber, Blunn, and Ralston Creek Trails on this fun ride! Wednesday, August 24th:
8:30 AM Fun/Fun Plus – H1 -30 – SE. Original Brooklyn’s Lunch Run Meet Tom Fitzgerald (303-424-1082) at the Original Brooklyn’s, 2644 West Colfax Avenue, for a ride on the Platte River Trail to the Cherry Creek Trail to the Highline Canal Trail, then DOWN Dartmouth, and back to the Platte River Trail. Lunch is at the Original Brooklyn’s. I loved this ride when I did it with Patty in late June (she loved it when riding with Wayne). Directions: from I-25 take the Colfax exit west to Federal Blvd; go south on Federal to the next light, and turn left at West Howard Place. 8:30 AM LEISURE H1-15-NE. NE TRAILS. Meet Dave Noble (home 303-694-2008, cell 303-906-3163) at E.B Raines park to ride the Farmer’s Highline, Signal Ditch, and Lee Lateral bike trails and then through Eastlake Park. Lunch will follow at First Watch restaurant. (Directions to EB Rains park from I-25 and 120th: East on 120th 1-2 streets to Grant, South on Grant 1/4-1/2 mile to park, and meet in the parking lot on the south side of the lake.)

7:45am INT/Advanced H4-37-W 3800ft elevation gain Meet Bill Luttrell at Bergan Park and Ride in Evergreen at 7:45am. To register text or call Bill at 719 235-3868 by August 25, limit 8. We will ride up the long beautiful scenic Squaw Pass road up to Echo Lake. For reference the climb is like doing Lookout Mtn 3 times. We will ride on the nice wide road shoulder at a good pace and stop and regroup several times. There are bathrooms and water at Echo Lake lodge where we will rest and eat some snacks before the long fun ride back down

Saturday, August 27th:
9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H3-25-Frisco (Elevation Gain = 1646’) Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE FREE ICE CREAM TOUR OF DILLON RESERVOIR – KEYSTONE EDITION. We will ride the multi-use trail around Lake Dillon and then to Keystone. We will then return to the lake and climb the Swan Mountain bike path to the top and enjoy the incredible view. Afterwards, we will enjoy the fabulous downhill ride, completing a circle back to Frisco where DBTC will purchase ice cream for all riders at the Foote Sweet Shoppe. We will meet at the Ten Mile Rec path parking lot at the southeast corner of I-70 & Main Street. Drive westbound from Denver on I-70 to Exit 201 and look for DBTC members in the parking lot. Note that this parking lot is divided into two areas, west and east of I-70. We are meeting at the lot east of I-70 by the outhouses. The east parking lot is now also called the "Kayak Overnight Parking Lot."

9:00 AM FUN-H1-23 NW Meet Wayne Tomasello (720-854-8767) at Gold Strike Park for a ride on the Ralston Creek path to Easley Rd to Clear Creek path back to Ralston Creek path. Directions to the start: From I-70 take Sheridan Blvd to Ralston Rd. Turn left onto Ralston Rd and go to the next left turn onto W 56th Ave. The park is on the left about 300 feet. An optional lunch is at Beau Jo’s.
9:00AM FUN/FUN PLUS-H2-25-NW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Anderson Park (44th & Field) for a ride through Olde Town Arvada to the Ralston Creek Trail. We will then ride the Ralston Creek Trail west to the west side of the Westwoods Golf Course for a break. We will return via Easley Rd and the Clear Creek Trail. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterwards.
Tuesday, August 30th:
8:30 AM LEISURE H1-20-SE Cherry Creek Trail South. Meet Jill McMahon, 303 888-0314(cell), at Arapahoe Rd Trailhead (just east of Jordan Road on the south side of the street) for a ride south along the Cherry Creek Trail for about 10 miles and return. Bring a snack, and money for an optional lunch following the ride. Since this ride is out and back, there is opportunity for a shorter ride for anyone wishing that option.
10:30 AM MTB: THE RIDE: Show and Go with Liz for a ride on the Staunton State Park trails. The ride will be approx. 13 miles with some extended climbing and a few technical downhill areas.
THE TIME: Meet at the lower parking lot (go right immediately after going through the entrance booth) at 10:30AM.
THE DIRECTIONS: Go west on Hwy 285 past Conifer to S. Elk Creek. Exit S. Elk Creek and go right approx. 1.3 miles to the turnoff, on the right, to the park.
THE FOOD: Bring snacks, drinks and chairs for after the ride at the park.

Wednesday, August 31st:
10:00 AM FUN-H2/3-24-1800' elev. gain. "Georgetown Ice Cream Ride" - Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) for this Idaho Springs-to-Georgetown ride. We will ride through Idaho Springs and follow the service road up to Georgetown. Bring $ and enjoy your ice cream treat. Return the same route. CASUAL pace to and zip down from Georgetown (mostly downhill). DIRECTIONS: I-70 Exit 241. Take first RIGHT at the exit roundabout and follow the road up & over I-70. Just past the green sign, turn RIGHT towards County Road 314 (if you miss this turn, you're back on eastbound I-70!). Turn RIGHT at the stop sign & continue to the ballpark ahead and park on the north side of the park.
