Wednesday, September 2nd:
9:00 AM FUN-H2/3-24 miles-SW Bear Creek Lake Park Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) at McDonald’s at Sheridan and Dartmouth.; Ride the smooth, shaded Bear Creek Trail to Fox Hollow Golf Course,over Mt. Carbon (steep climb, but not too long), then through Bear Creek Lake Park and over the dam on the other side of the park and coast back to Bear Valley. Since there are no picnic tables there, there is a Mexican place close by.
Friday, September 4th:
9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2-42-SE-950 feet elevation gain Cherry Creek Trail south to Castlewood Canyon Meet Susan Larson (720-207-7300) at Broncos Parkway Trailhead (16400 E. Broncos Parkway, Centennial) for a ride south on the Cherry Creek Trail to its end at Castlewood Canyon. This is a 42 mile ride at a pace of 13-16mph and it is a fairly flat ride with a few small hills and one final steeper hill up to the canyon. It trends uphill on the way south with the reward of a gradual downhill on the way back. There is one section, about .25 miles, of gravel. This ride is beautiful with the last section being thru some ranch land. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterward. The ride is limited to 10 riders; sign up on Meetup.
Sunday, September 6th:
8:00 AM Intermediate H3-NW-34-+1933’ elevation gain Crown Hill Park to White Ranch and Golden.Join Donald – 720-785-0616 at Crown Hill Park - 26th and Garland ST. Monday, September 7th:
9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H3-26-NW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Anderson Park (44th & Field) for a ride north on Garrison St to Olde Town Arvada and then to the Ralston Creek Trail, which we will take to the west end of the Westwoods Golf Course for a break. After the break, we will ride over the Arvada Reservoir taking 66th Ave to the Blunn Trail, which we will take north to Virgil Way and 72nd Ave. We will ride 72nd east to Simms St and the Ralston Creek Trail, and then return to the start via Garrison St. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterward.
Tuesday, September 8th:
9:00 AM INT- H2 SW: 25 - 30 miles, 2300 gain - 2500 Meet Diane Short across from the gas station at Morrison Rd. and Rooney Rd (C-470). Ride through Bear Creek Lake Park (BCLP), then west into the 2 neighborhoods (Lyons Ridge and Dakotah) that are between the Hiway 285 frontage road and Belleview, continue to Willow Springs, Ken Caryl neighborhoods with a rest stop at the S. Valley rest area. Return via the C-470 and Dutch Creek bike paths and BCLP. CALL TO REGISTER AT 303-271-9642 (land). I am not on Meet up.
Wednesday, September 9th:
9:00 AM FUN-H2-20 miles SW Twin Tunnel Route Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) at Broken Tee Golf Course (2101 W. Oxford, Englewood 80110) for a ride up Big Dry Creek to the Highline Canal. The canal is hard packed along this beautiful section of the trail that will have you humming Country Roads. We will go UNDER Hampden and Colorado Blvd. using the two tunnels, have a snack in the park, then enjoy 4 miles of downhill on Dartmouth and back. Bring lunch for a picnic after.

9:00 AM LEISURE H1/H2 - 19 mi-NW| Join Marlene Patacky 720-838-7338 Join for a Peaks to Plains Leisure Ride We will be riding from Prospect Lake Park (44th and Robb) to the end of the newly opened Segment of the Peaks to Plains Trail to the CRR Trailhead parking lot. It had been closed at the tunnel and now it is opened to the CCR Trailhead. The new part is about 1.5 miles of beautiful mountains and creek!! Speed will be mainly 10-12 mph and sometimes faster on downhill. Bring snacks and water.

9:00 AM FUN PLUS - H2 - 23 miles Meet Diane Short (303-271-9642 - land line) (was Simone Caruthers) at Fox Hollow Golf Course, far east end of the parking lot ( 13410 Morrison Rd.) Starting at Fox Hollow we will ride through a part of Bear Creek bike path, up to Sister’s park, through Pinehurst and Bow Mar. Will head back through Grants ranch for a break and return. Some small rolling climbs but mostly gradual elevation gains. Leader is NOT on Meet Up nor is this change on MeetUp, so please call if your have questions. I am subbing for Simone so the mileage may vary a little bit.
Friday, September 11th;
8:45 AM FUN-H2-18/23-NW PATRIOT DAY 25th Anniversary RIDE Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) to honor the 25th Anniversary of Patriot Day with a visit to the 9/11 Monument in Broomfield during THE SPACE, TIME, 9/11 RIDE or THE HIDDEN GEMS OF BROOMFIELD! It begins near the SE corner of Sheridan and 120th at the new Whole Foods in Westminster (1/2 mile east of Sheridan at Vrain and 120th. ADDRESS is 4451 Main Street.) We will take secret trails around Westminster and Broomfield where we will experience three incredible hidden displays including THE SOLAR SYSTEM, a brief history of GEOLOGIC COLORADO TIME, and most importantly, the 9/11 MONUMENT where there will be a special memorial celebration. (This ride has an escape option at the 18 mile marker for riders who run out of time and/or steam.) Enjoy a post ride patriotic lunch at Whole Foods.

9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H3- 23.7 -SE 1,700 ft elevation gain Daniels Park and The Bluffs Meet Bill Monroe (630-386-7935) at the Lone Tree Arts Center 10075 Commons St, Lone Tree, CO 80124. The ride will go through Surrey Ridge, Beverly Hills, Castle Pines and Lone Tree. We will stop at Daniels Park which has one of the best views of the entire Front Range, downtown Denver and the Tech Center. There’s also a buffalo herd. We will then go back north on Monarch Blvd and over The Bluffs in Lone Tree. The Bluffs part of the ride is about 5.5 miles on gravel a little looser than the Highline Canal. Gravel tires are recommended. We will also take a quick stop at Lonehenge. There is a steep climb to get to the top of The Bluffs and a steep twisting descent when exiting The Bluffs. 9:30 AM FUN PLUS-H3-24-Frisco (Elevation Gain = 1171’) Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE FREE ICE CREAM TOUR OF LAKE DILLON. (Swan Mountain Rd is back open!!!!) We will meet at the Summit Middle School parking lot in Frisco and ride the multi-use trail around Lake Dillon toward Keystone. We will then climb the Swan Mountain bike path to the top and enjoy the incredible view after which we will enjoy the fabulous downhill toward Frisco, completing a circle back to Frisco where DBTC will purchase ice cream for all riders at the Foote Sweet Shoppe. Directions to Summit Middle School, 158 School Rd, Frisco: Drive westbound from Denver on I-70 to Exit 203, and take the roundabout exit that leads south onto the bridge crossing I-70. Continue south on Summit Blvd. (Hwy 9) for .8 miles to the stoplight intersection of School Rd. & CR 1040. Turn left onto School Rd. and park on the back right near Lake Dillon.

9:15 AM LEISURE-H2-21-NW Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE TRIPLE LOOP HIDDEN ARVADA GEMS 2.0 Experience this somewhat new exciting ride that takes us from a central point out to three separate loops that are about 7 miles each. You can do one, two, or all three of these fabulous loops. Loop 1 goes west by Rose Roots Community Garden to the Village of Five Parks. Loop 2 goes south by the Lakecrest Cluster and Clubcrest Parks to beautiful Majestic View Park. Loop 3 goes north by Oakhurst Parks 1 and 2 to Standley Lake. Meet at the center of the three loops at the Standley Lake Library parking lot at 8485 Kipling Street in Arvada where the action begins!
Monday, September 14th:
9:30 AM FUN PLUS-H1-25-NW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Twin Lakes Park (west of Broadway at 70th, 300 W 70th Ave) for a ride east on the Clear Creek Trail to the South Platte Trail, which we will take north to the Veterans Memorial. New Gravel Ride with Lauren Delle 970-903-8409: Meet at Majestic View Park off of 72nd (NOT 7030 Garrison St.) Arvada for a ride on The Croke Creek Trail to Standley Lake then Westminster Hills open space and back. The ride will be all gravel so a gravel bike or MTB is needed. Ride limited to 8 including leader. Won’t go if rain is forecasted.

ft elevation gain Tour de Highlands Ranch Meet Bill Monroe (630-386-7935) at the Northridge Rec Center, 8800 S Broadway, HR 80126. Three lights south of C-470. After turning into the rec center, proceed through the parking lot(s) to the eastern-most section. Enjoy the twists, turns and rolling terrain of this scenic ride with amazing views of the front range (weather permitting) and stops at the Cheese Ranch Historic Park and Highlands Ranch Mansion. 9:15 AM FUN-H2-22-NW (Elevation Gain = 1060 feet) - THE REALLY RADICAL RAT RACE RODENT RIDE Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for this ride that takes us around the trails of Rock Creek, Interlocken and Broomfield highlighted by the new bike overpass between Interlocken and Broomfield leading to never before seen trails!!! Come find out how this ride got it’s name. Meet at the SE corner of the Safeway parking lot at the Rock Creek Village Shopping Center in Superior. Rock Creek Village is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Road Superior, CO. 80027)
Friday, September 18th:
9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H2-30-SE-1300 feet elevation gain Enchanted Grounds Coffee House & Gameporium Meet Susan Larson (720-207-7300) at Arapahoe Road Trailhead (.2 miles east on Arapahoe Rd from the Arapahoe Rd and S. Jordan Rd intersection) for a fun 30 mile ride with a pace of 13-16mph. This ride has rolling hills and we will ride the Cherry Creek Trail south to the E470 Trail where we’ll turn and go west. We’ll ride over the bridges near Park Meadows continuing on to Colorado Blvd. We’ll head south there for .5 miles stopping at Enchanted Grounds Coffeehouse for a break. Bring money for a beverage. We’ll ride back on the same route. Bring a sack lunch or snacks to enjoy after the ride. Ride is limited to 10 riders; sign up on Meetup.
10:00 AM FUN-H3-20 miles Come Enjoy the Fall Colors Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) at the parking area at the west end of Frisco for a ride up Vail Pass. It has been awhile since we have been up there but it should be the perfect day (I have ordered good weather, if my order is lost, ride will be cancelled). I’m not a fast rider so we will chug up the hill and zoom back down. Carl will be waiting in the coffee shop and I promised we’d go to lunch at Butterhorn Bakery & Cafe.
Saturday, September 19th:
9:30 AM LEISURE-H2-25-NW (ELEVATION GAIN = 776 feet) NEW MAJESTIC COLORADO TAPHOUSE ADVENTURE Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) at the new COLORADO TAPHOUSE (14982 W 69th Ave, Arvada, CO 80007.) This loop ride will use the entire Ralston Creek Trail and the Clear Creek Trail. We will enjoy a drink and/ or lunch at the COLORADO TAPHOUSE after the ride. (Bring $$$)
Monday, September 21st:
9:30 AM FUN PLUS-H3-21-SW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at the Stone House (Estes & Yale along the Bear Creek Trail) for a ride west on the Bear Creek Trail to Fox Hollow Golf Course. We will ride up Mt. Carbon and down the other side into Bear Creek Lake Park. We will ride through the park, exiting at Morrison Rd to take Rooney Rd north to Alameda. We will continue to climb up Alameda to Forsberg Iron Spring Park, where we will have a break. After the break, we will ride down Alameda (on the frontage road) to Garrison and south to the start. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterward.

9:00 AM FUNPLUS-H2-25 miles-SE 1,000 ft elevation gain Six Trails Ride Meet Robert Drucker (303-475-4964) at the Lone Tree Art Center, 10075 Commons Street, Lone Tree 80124. Nice relatively level terrain on sections of the Willow Creek, Little Dry Creek, Centennial Link, Highline Canal, Lee Gulch and C-470 trails. Approximately 7 miles on gravel similar to and including the Highline Canal. We will take water breaks and a rest stop at the Goodson Center. 9:30 AM FUN-H3-22-NW (Elevation Gain = 1173 feet) Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) THE GREAT BLACK HOLE OF LOUISVILLE AKA THE HIDDEN GEMS OF LOUISVILLE!!! This exciting ride full of twists and turns uses the newest portion of the HWY 36 trail that goes west from Interlocken into Boulder then loops back through Louisville and Superior using some interesting secret trails including the Double Lombard Street Experience and the famous Black Hole of Louisville! See you under the trees at the Safeway at the Rock Creek village Shopping Center in Superior for this tour of the trails of Superior, Louisville, and South Boulder (with a few roads mixed in as required). Rock Creek village is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Road Superior, CO. 80027).

9:30 AM FUN -H2/H3-24 SW Pie in the Sky Meet Patty Gaspar (303-618-5069) Granny Scott’s Pie Shop (3333 S Wadsworth Blvd.). We’ll pay our respects to the goddess and then head west to Kipling then over to the C470 trail. There is a great downhill back to Lowell and Bear Valley. Lunch at the pie shop.
Thursday, September 24th:
9:00 AM FUN PLUS - H2 - 25 miles Meet Simone Caruthers (720-636-2884) at the parking lot at Wheatridge Recreation Center (4025 Kipling St). We will ride to Anderson park, up Garrison to ridge road to Macintyre Road to 64th to Ralston Creek where we will take a break. Return via Blum trail to Easley back to rec. center. Friday, September 25th:
9:30 AM FUN-H3-24-NW (Elevation Gain = 1207 feet) Meet Jeff Krinsky (720-373-9107) for THE GREAT TOTEM POLE RIDE AKA THE HIDDEN GEMS OF INTERLOCKEN! Actually, the totem poles are gone now but...This exciting ride full of twists and turns uses portions of the new Hwy. 36 Trail to take us on a loop that includes the hidden gems of Flatirons Mall, Interlocken, Standley Lake, and Rock Creek Village! We will meet at the Rock Creek Village Safeway, which is centrally located in Superior at the NW corner of Coalton and Rock Creek Parkway (Address is 1601 Coalton Rd., Superior). This ride is now 99.99% on paved trails.
Saturday, September 26th:
9:00 AM-12:00 PM FUN PLUS-H2/3- 27-SE, 1,600 ft elevation gain Parker to Castle Rock Meet Robert Drucker (303-475-4964) at The Pinery Trailhead, 6662 N Pinery Pkwy, Parker, CO 80134 (It’s a dead end road but it is the right road. Go to the end). This ride is all on paved trails from Parker to Castle Rock and back. We will ride the Cherry Creek Trail, McMurdo Gulch Trail, Woodlands Trail, Hangman’s Gulch Trail and Plum Creek Trail. There are a few road crossings but no road riding. We will have several water breaks/ rest stops as needed. Turn around will be at the Festival Park in downtown Castle Rock. 10:00 AM FUN PLUS-H3-25-NW Meet Merri Bruntz (303-517-9781) at Crown Hill Park (26th and Garrison) for a ride south on Garrison to Alameda (riding the frontage road), and then west to Morrison via Rooney Rd. After a break, we will ride east on Morrison Rd and the Bear Creek Trail to the Stone House, returning north on Garrison to Crown Hill Park. Bring a sack lunch for a picnic afterward.
Tuesday, September 29th:
9:00 AM FUN PLUS-H1-25-SE-600 feet elevation gain Aurora Loop Meet Susan Larson (720-207-7300) at Village Greens Park (9501 East Union Avenue, Greenwood Village) in the lower parking lot for a 25 mile ride with rolling hills at a 13-16mph pace. We’ll ride north on the Highline Canal, into Aurora picking up the Tollgate Creek Trail and finishing on the Cherry Creek Spillway Trail. About halfway we’ll make a stop at Milly’s Community Cafe for a break and a treat. Bring money for a treat and a sack lunch or snacks to enjoy after the ride. Wednesday, September 30th:
9:30 AM FUN PLUS-H2/3-30 - 36 miles-SE, 1100 feet of gain Chatfield Reservoir State Park to Sedalia Meet Diane Short on the shoulder parking area at Deer Creek Canyon Road on the west side of Wadsworth. We will ride through Chatfield to quiet neighborhood roads in Sterling ranch. Waterton Rd to Sedalia and back through Louviers. Bakery in Sedalia for coffee, snacks, restrooms.
